The Ombelle app
What it stores
On your device only: each child's profile (first name, date of birth, optional sex and photo), the events you log (feeds, diapers, sleep, temperature, medication, bath, with their notes), your check-ins (mood, tiredness, note), your breathing minutes, the activities you mark as tried, your preferences (language, appearance) and the date you accepted the terms of use.
What never leaves the device
Ombelle has no server and needs no network permission to work. None of this data is sent to Jungle Labs or to any third party, and we never have access to it. The only network exchanges are those operated by Apple: purchases and restoration of a subscription through the App Store (StoreKit), and, if you enable it, your iPhone's iCloud backup, which includes Ombelle's data like any app's, under the control of your Apple account.
Permissions
- Photos: only if you choose a photo for a child's profile. It is cropped and compressed on the device and is never transmitted.
- Notifications: only if you ask for a medication reminder. The reminder is scheduled locally, its wording stays discreet, and nothing is sent to a server.
- Live Activity: the timer of a sleep in progress can appear on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. It is computed on the device.
Data about a child
The information entered concerns your child and is recorded by you, as parent or legal guardian, on your own device. The app is not intended to be used by a child, and Jungle Labs collects no data about them.
Health
Ombelle is not a medical device. It interprets no temperature, dose or mood, and transmits none of this information. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Export and erasure
From the settings, you can export all your data to a readable file, and erase everything permanently in one tap. Erasure is immediate; it does not affect iCloud backups you may have made, which you manage from your Apple account.
This website
No cookies, no trackers
The website ombelle-app.com is static. It sets no cookies, embeds no analytics or pixels, and loads nothing from third-party domains: the typeface is hosted with the site. Your appearance choice (light or dark) is remembered in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) needed for security and proper operation. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Retention: twelve months at most.
If you write to us
Your email address and the content of your message are used only to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling your request. Retention: for the duration of the exchange, then three years at most.
Recipients and transfers
No data is sold or rented. The website's technical logs are processed by our hosting provider, Google Cloud EMEA Limited, within the European Union (Belgium region). In-app purchases are processed by Apple under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
For the app's data, there is nothing to ask us: access, rectification, portability (export) and erasure happen directly in the settings, since we have no access to it. For this website's data, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection: write to hello@jungle-labs.co, we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Changes
Any change to this policy is published on this page with its update date. Should any processing ever leave your device, it would be clearly announced in the app and, where the law requires it, subject to your consent.
